Working with plain light
Why an empty sky can reveal more than a dramatic one.

On the shore I often wait for a clear, empty sky. With nothing happening overhead, small changes in the sand and the colour of the water become easier to see.
A useful constraint
Choose one stretch of shoreline and stay with it for half an hour. Make a frame whenever the boundary of water and land changes. The subject can be small; the sequence gives it room.
