The reference photograph follows a gravel path that enters at the lower left and bends away between tall, straight trunks. Almost everything else is green, from the grass in the foreground to the canopy that closes over the top of the frame.
The path is the only open line through the green, and it turns out of sight among the trunks.
One way in
Because the path bends, the picture never shows where it goes, and that is what pulls the eye in. Small details reward a second look: fallen leaves at the edge of the gravel, and a blue container at the foot of one tree.
